5 Ways a Life Coach Can Help (even if you're loving life!)

Why would you hire a coach when things are going well? Let's say you're not struggling, and life is humming along... WELL...

𝟏. 𝗔𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝘀: You might hire someone in an area of expertise that speaks to your leading edge of growth. For example, hiring a social media savvy Business Coach to help you launch a new venture, or a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Coach to bring greater balance and deepen your self care, or a Family/Parenting Coach to teach conflict resolution and behavior management strategies.

𝟮. 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀: Often when we reach a level of comfort and satisfaction, we plateau in our goal setting. What would it be like to set your sights on some thrilling goals? What would it take to hit some of those "high peaks" of experience? Want to get in the best shape of your life, or sing on a stage, or travel to far and exotic places?

𝟯. 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Working with a coach is having someone to really hold you to your vision. You will create an action plan with specific goals and a timeline, and a means to follow up with each other. For many people, it becomes too easy to let those deadlines soften and the goalposts get moved further out. A coach will hold your feet to the fire, and help you deepen your level of commitment.

𝟰. 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 "𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁": What are the things you avoid? Where do you procrastinate? What old beliefs are holding you back from putting yourself 100% into that new venture, or relationship, diet plan or exercise routine? Coaching is a great way to air out and clean up those old limiting beliefs.

𝟱. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗢𝗨! Do you skim through your achievements, with barely a pause? Many of us are attuned to our shortcomings, but fail to pause and rejoice in our successes! This isn't a time to shirk off the reward for your hard work. It's so bizarre how we are often hardwired to feel shame, as if we shouldn't call too much attention to ourselves, that we are somehow going to end up conceited or big headed if we feel good. NAH! Feel good! Take it in. What did you learn? What does this point to? Gratitude and appreciation are great fuel for future successes, creativity and inspiration.

“Happiness is not a goal. It’s a by-product of a life well lived.” -Eleanor Roosevelt
