Come Out to Play & Reclaim Your Creativity

Where is your inner dreamer, the artist, the playful one? What would it take to engage with this part of you?

Did she get packed away in some dark closet in your mind along with the water color brushes and your tattered poetry journals? Or maybe you never make time for your creativity, and have a sense that something is missing?

I'm talking to all you closet creatives who really want to come out and play, express and explore but don't give yourself permission. Your artistry may involve instruments, plants or food. Maybe for you it's about dance, textiles or writing. Perhaps you haven't met your medium, but know the intimidation, shame and frustration that comes with perceived failure and false starts.

When we are engaging with our innate creativity, the part of us that wants to experiment and express, to take risks and be bold, we often find our inner saboteurs lurking there. What if we fail?! What will everyone say?!

Do you have a glaring case of Impostor Syndrome? This is where you come to a screeching halt because, "who am I to write a book?" (or learn to paint or play an instrument).

Before you ever pick up a guitar, are you already comparing yourself to your favorite songwriter, saying, "I'll NEVER be able to play like that!" (and so why bother)?

Imagine if you were to plant a flag in the ground and really claim your own enjoyment? Who are you to NOT explore this medium you have been so curious about, or to spend time with a project that gives you great peace and pleasure?

Are you waiting for someone to give you permission to make your enjoyment, curiosity and creativity a priority? When will YOU give yourself permission? When will you make time to cultivate this part of your life? And, what is "getting in the way"?

I can help you get started. When you have the tools to navigate that roadblock of fear and resistance, you will start humming with the vibration of self generative creativity and the confidence to persevere. You will begin enjoying your creative process on a deeper level!

You deserve to feel fully alive, firing on all cylinders, cultivating this relationship with your creative expression.

If this whole creative process sounds too far off because you're too exhausted to even contemplate where to begin, I know where you are. I've been there. I have felt my time spread so thin as a mom and a wife, running multiple businesses and trying to make it all look seamless and perfect. Blah! IT WAS EXHAUSTING!

But here is what I am 100% clear about: When I am attending to my creativity and my voice, I feel charged up, in command of my time, and connected to my purpose. The more in alignment I am with my creativity, the more powerful and effective I feel in all the other areas of my life. That is what balance feels like.

Let me share with you the steps it takes to dive in headfirst into your innate creativity, and feel passionately alive and in love with life again. This residency on earth is too short not to!

You've gotten good at adulting. It's time to come out and play a little bit, no?
